Media informed of the operations undertaken by the Capital Police
This afternoon in a news conference held at the Police HQ, the media has been informed of the operations undertaken by the Capital Police. Information regarding the operations was given by the Sub-Inspector of Police in charge of Maafannu Police Station, Mohamed Daaudh.
One of the cases that the Police reported was of 3 people caught near Customs and Bank of Maldives attempting for a violent assault on 24th February at 2.25 a.m. Out of these 3 people, a knife was found from one person. All 3 of them are currently under the custody of the Police. Similarly, at midnight on the 24th February, in Sameemeemagu, wooden planks prepared for an assault and battery were found. That same day, at 5.15 in the evening, a bottle of alcohol was found from 2 people on a motorcycle near Red Wave Mini Mart.
These cases are being investigated by the Maldives Police Service.
