In a drug operation conducted by the Maldives Police Service's Drug Enforcement and Intelligence, seven individuals have been arrested for alleged drug trafficking.

The operation, which took place on July 16, involved the search of two apartments and two cars under a court warrant.

During the searches, police recovered illicit narcotics weighing approximately 1085.71 grams. The seven individuals arrested, aged between 18 and 39, were brought before the Criminal Court and remanded in custody for 10 days.

The case is currently under investigation by the Drug Enforcement.
