37th Basic Training Course for New Police Recruits Commences

The 37th Basic Training Course for newly recruited police officers commenced on July 20 at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement. The ceremony was attended by Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman, Executive Director of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, alongside heads of faculties, senior police officers, heads of Addu City Police Stations, teachers, and students of the training course.

 

In his address, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahman urged the students to work diligently to complete the course successfully. This year's training batch includes 199 police officers, with 48 female officers and 151 male officers.

 

 

The training program will cover physical training, operational safety and tactics, laws and regulations, and other essential aspects of police work. The course aims to equip recruits with the necessary academic knowledge, skills, and experience for their roles in law enforcement.
