UAE Cyber Security Council Delegation Visits Maldives

The Republic of Maldives welcomed a high-profile delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) led by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, head of the UAE Cyber Security Council, as part of an official state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cybersecurity cooperation between the two nations.

During the visit, Dr. Al Kuwaiti met with H.E. Mohamed Muizzu, President of the Maldives, and other senior Maldivian officials. In their discussions, Dr. Al Kuwaiti emphasized the deep-rooted friendship and brotherhood between the UAE and the Maldives. Both sides explored ways to further enhance cooperation in cybersecurity, addressing the current developments and challenges in the field. The need for coordinated efforts to ensure a secure cyberspace was underscored.

The Maldives Police Service (MPS) expressed deep gratitude for the UAE government's assistance in advancing key cybersecurity and law enforcement initiatives. "We are grateful for the UAE government's support in implementing these critical projects," said a spokesperson for the MPS. "I would like to express my gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, for his vision and leadership in promoting strategic partnerships between our two countries."

The Maldives Police Service also expressed its appreciation to Dr. Al Kuwaiti for his keen interest in bringing these projects to fruition, recognizing the vital role they will play in enhancing the operational capabilities of the MPS. "His Excellency's dedication to regional security and stability is inspiring, and we are honored to be a part of this effort," the spokesperson added.
