Cybercrime Prevention Program has been initiated by the Adh. Atoll

In a proactive effort to enhance community safety and awareness, the police have initiated an information program targeting the prevention of cybercrimes in the province.

 

This valuable endeavor, in collaboration with the Adh. Atoll Police and the Cyber Center, aims to educate and empower individuals to safeguard themselves from online threats.

 

The program, which will take place from June 2nd to June 7th, is to be held in Mahibadhoo, Maamigili, Dhangethi, Dhigurah, Omadhoo, and Fenfushi. Its primary objective is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the various facets of cybercrime, including the repercussions of cyberbullying on victims and the preventative measures that can be implemented.
 

The aim is to address important topics such as safeguarding against fraudulent phone calls, understanding the latest extortion schemes, and adopting effective strategies to avoid becoming a victim of these malicious practices. This program is designed to educate a diverse audience, including students, parents, residents, and employees from various institutions, highlighting the crucial nature of cyber safety for everyone.

 

The committed staff at the Cyber Center is in charge of the initiative, making sure that participants receive thorough information and useful advice to strengthen their defenses against cyber threats. Through this collaborative effort, the community can arm itself with knowledge and tools to combat cybercrime effectively and create a safer online environment for citizens.
