Police Club and FAM Jointly Conduct Basic Futsal Referee Course; Certificates Awarded

The Basic Futsal Referee Course, a collaborative initiative between the Police Club and the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony held on June 3 at the Sergeant Adam Haleem Criminal Investigation Building.

 

State Minister of Sports Fitness and Recreation Abdul Razzaq Ibrahim presented certificates to the participants who completed the course. The ceremony was attended by Police Club President Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohamed Rasheed, FAM Director of Referees Ahmed Qasim, Police Club General Secretary Inspector of Police Ali Ibrahim, and course instructors and participants.

 

Running from June 27 to July 2, 2024, the Basic Futsal Referee Course saw active participation from 33 police officers, of whom 24, including two female police officers, completed the course.

 

This initiative is part of the Police Club's ongoing efforts to provide opportunities for staff interested in pursuing careers in football refereeing and to encourage the development of sports professionals within the police service.
