School Traffic Monitor Program at Dh. Atoll Education Center Concludes

School traffic monitor program held in Dh. Atoll Education Center concluded on July 3rd with a closing ceremony. The ceremony was honoured by the presence of Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman, Head of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement.

 

During his speech, Assistant Commissioner Ahmed Abdul Rahman emphasized the significance of the knowledge and skills acquired by the students throughout the program. He encouraged the students to share their learnings with their peers and to act as role models within the school community. He also stressed the importance of applying these new skills practically, urging students to consistently set a positive example.

 

Furthermore, the Assistant Commissioner appealed to parents to respect traffic rules and regulations and to support their children in their roles as traffic monitors by following their instructions.

 

Held from June 29th to July 3rd, 2024, the program was an initiative aimed at promoting road safety awareness and prevention, in collaboration with the Kudahuvadhoo Police Station. The program provided students with a thorough understanding of the Road Traffic Act and regulations, with a strong focus on student safety and security. Participants were also trained to maintain good manners while interacting with the public, both on the streets and within school premises.

 

 

A total of 34 students from the Dh. Atoll Education Center participated in this five-day program. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance road safety and community responsibility among young students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to contribute to a safer environment for all.
