Deputy Commissioner Presents Commemorative Plaque to INTERPOL IFCACC

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen presented a commemorative plaque to the INTERPOL Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre (IFCACC) today in recognition of their continued support and contributions to the Maldives Police Service (MPS). The plaque was received on behalf of IFCACC by Mr. Rilwan Shareef, who currently serves as a coordinator for strategy and development within the centre.
Mr. Shareef is in the Maldives on behalf of INTERPOL to participate in a forum organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The meeting, held at the Shaheed Hussain Adam Building, was attended by officials from the National Central Bureau Malé. Discussions focused on the ongoing collaborations between MPS and IFCACC in the fight against financial crime in the Maldives.

Deputy Commissioner Naveen provided an overview of the joint initiatives between MPS and INTERPOL, acknowledging the pivotal role IFCACC has played in enhancing law enforcement capabilities. He emphasized that the Centre continues to serve as a key partner in combating transnational financial crimes, demonstrating exceptional commitment and engagement.
During the meeting, Mr. Shareef commended the Maldives for its strong commitment to international security, especially in the areas of financial crime and corruption. He praised the country's proactive stance and ongoing efforts in these critical areas.
The meeting concluded with Deputy Commissioner Naveen expressing gratitude to IFCACC for their invaluable contributions toward the advancement of Maldives law enforcement efforts in tackling financial crime and corruption.
Mr. Rilwan Shareef, who is currently serving as the coordinator for the INTERPOL Financial Crime and Anti-Corruption Centre Directorate (IFCACC) Strategy and Development, is a seconded official by the Maldives Police Service.
