Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen appointed as Commissioner of Police

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen has been appointed as the Commissioner of Police.

 

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Ismail Naveen as the new Commissioner of Police and presented him with the letter of appointment during a ceremony held yesterday at the President's Office.

 

Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen joined the Maldives Police Service on July 7, 1994. During his 30 years of service in the Maldives Police Service, he has held several key leadership roles, including Head of the Corporate Service Directorate, Head of the People Directorate, Head of the Central Policing Command, and Head of the Forensic Services Directorate.

 

The new Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, has obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Northumbria, United Kingdom.
